Electrical Troubleshooting – Step 1

WHERE TO START

Electrical Troubleshooting – Step 1

Troubleshooting can be one of the hardest things to do on your electrical system. At TVE, we have a proven system, that will allow you to troubleshoot any electrical issue, without having years of electrical experience. The first step is very simple and you MUST do it before you start your electrical troubleshooting. You must ask yourself or client what happened.

Did the electrical problem just go out on its own or were you doing something that caused the issue. If the customer says they were blow drying their hair or trying to vacuum a room then you want to start at the outlet that they were plugged into. If the problem just happened all on its own then you will want to start at the electrical panel.
