How to Install a Wirenut

Some may think that doing a video on installing an electrical wirenut is not necessary. I would disagree because at TVE we have seen over and over again improperly installed wire nuts. Size matters when it comes to wire nuts. If you are installing a wirenut on three or 4 wires that are too big for the nut then this might cause a loose connection.

The number one cause of electrical fires are loose connections. So selecting the proper wire nut is very important. Securing the wires in a clockwise matter is also very important. If your wirenut is being secured in the opposite direction the wires are twisted together then you are essentially untwisting the wires.

A wirenut is used to secure 2 or more wires together. An improperly installed wirenut can cause the entire electrical circuit to fail. Do not rush through this part of an electrical install.
