How to Fix Flickering Lights

If you have multiple rooms that have flickering lights then the problem is bigger than just a bad light switch. There are a series of steps you need to take to figure out what the problem is. The first is the free easy solution. Call your local utility company. If the problem is in more than one room then there is a good chance the problem is on the utility side of your electrical system.

Your local utility company will come out and check the connections at the utility pole and your meter can. If you’ve had a big storm, then a loose tree branch or even the wind will cause your electrical connections to loosen up. This will definitely cause all kinds of problems with your electrical system.

If they say the connections on the utility side look good then you need to check the connections at the electrical panel.
